Review A

1. Personally, I think the appearance is quite well-designed, especially the side profile which looks very nice. The bright silver D-pillar gives a solid feel. Compared with the Denza D9, it is flatter and wider, with an overall moderate and family-oriented look. We all like dark interiors; although we chose the "Yuanshan Dai" (Distant Mountain Black) color, many parts are still off-white. It is recommended that the manufacturer offer more dark interior options.

2. The space performance is relatively average compared to other MPVs. Although the third row can be electrically stowed, many Japanese models can also do this, so it's not a plus point. The hollow storage space under the center console is very inconvenient for accessing items; there's even no place to put tissues. Slightly larger water cups can't fit into the升降杯托洞 (elevating cup holder hole), only bottles like Nongfu Spring can fit. The side door storage is also very narrow. Compared to the driver's cup holder in the Odyssey, which is very convenient and practical. To access items in the front-row refrigerator, you have to empty the storage box and lift the cover, which is too troublesome. It is recommended to optimize the front-row storage overall: widen and enlarge the door storage, add retractable cup holders for the driver and front passenger, optimize the center console storage, and learn from the Roewe iMAX8 DMH's storage hook design on the front passenger side. This would make the storage space more user-friendly and convenient.

3. I am quite satisfied with the relatively rich configuration; it has all the necessary features, but some could be better. For example, seat ventilation is available, but due to cost control, motors with better mute performance were not used, resulting in too much noise. The massage intensity of the driver's seat is too weak, etc.

4. Because I have some track experience, the subjective driving feel meets expectations and should be considered good among MPVs, but you can't expect too much from a family car. The elk test result of 70km/h for the 180 model is inferior to the GL8, which is not only due to electronic programs but also the relatively soft suspension. However, it drives very flexibly in actual use, including turning around. With the help of 360-degree camera to prevent collisions, it can basically be done in one go. The roll and pitch suppression of Yun Nian (Yun Nian system), when adjusted to Sport+Comfort mode, has an obvious effect. Although a lot of effort was put into sound insulation, the chassis noise still clearly transmits to the cab, which should come from under the second-row sliding door. Talking about power: 428 horsepower is sufficient. The 100km/h acceleration time should be around 8 seconds, similar to a 1.4T Volkswagen. Driving at the 132km/h speed limit is very easy, and it has more than enough power beyond that. It is relatively stable and not floaty at 150-160km/h on closed roads, but I didn't go faster as the new car is still in the running-in period. I will test the top speed of 190km/h after the first maintenance. High-speed stability can't compare with sedans; the chassis toughness is about 30% worse than German cars, but it should be better than or on par with Japanese cars and several other domestic models. It is about 10-20% worse than the GL8.

5. Range is divided into electric and fuel, and also into city and highway. For pure electric city driving, whether congested or not, as long as you don't accelerate or brake sharply, the energy consumption is stable at 16-17 kWh/100km, and the actual range can reach about 120km. However, at around 130km/h on the highway, the range is only about 50km. The fuel consumption in city driving when the battery is low is about 5.5L/100km. On the highway at 130km/h, although the instantaneous fuel consumption sometimes reaches 11L/100km, since it is driving directly while generating electricity and storing energy, the comprehensive fuel consumption is about 8L/100km. With a full tank of fuel and full charge, using HEV AI energy consumption mode and driving at 130km/h, the range is about 600-700km; at 120km/h, it can reach about 800-900km.

6. I am very dissatisfied with the assisted driving. TianShen C (TianShen C) is "intellectually deficient" compared with other first-tier systems and needs to accelerate learning and improvement. There have been several incidents on the road: for example, sudden braking on the highway, hesitation during lane changes on expressways leading to sudden stops, and weaving in the lane on highways with slight left and right steering wheel movements, which makes people dizzy. It is recommended that BYD strive for the best when launching such features, rather than forcibly launching unsafe intelligent driving just to seize market share and fame. I heard that an iteration is coming soon; hurry up, as透支用户的信任 (透支用户的信任 -透支用户的信任 - overdrawn user trust) is a bad thing.

7. The smart cockpit experience is average. The voice control is not very smart; it cannot understand or answer some questions. Does it need to integrate DeepSeek?

In conclusion, the reasons for choosing the "Xia" (Summer) include, in addition to the appearance, the efficiency and energy-saving of the fifth-generation DM-i, as well as some technological selling points and comfort configurations. The cost of ownership, including maintenance, repair, and charging, is relatively economical, and the discount is also large. It is hoped that the manufacturer will pay attention to and solve the above problems regarding the interior, storage space, chassis noise, and the stupidity and insecurity of the intelligent driving system. Of course, for existing owners who have already purchased the car, optimizing TianShen C is an important and urgent matter.

Overall score: 3.81, mainly due to the poor performance of TianShen C. Why is the iteration so slow? If the assisted driving performance was acceptable, the score would be above 4.

Review B

I picked up the car on January 24th, Year 25, and have driven over 2000 kilometers so far. The vehicle's power is really good; I didn't feel much when driving at 130 km/h on the highway. The interior is also nice and classy. I installed aluminum foot mats on Taobao myself, which made it look even more upscale. The nominal 180-kilometer range, calculated at 80% when driving at 130 km/h on the highway, is still quite good.

[Least Satisfactory] The intelligent driving is not mature enough... I dare not use it; in addition, the memory card of the dash cam is always not detected, and the USB drive is also not recognized.

[Space Performance]
When I went home during the Spring Festival, I could fill the trunk by folding down the rear seats; the trunk space is quite reassuring. It's more comfortable to seat four people, but more than four is not very comfortable 😭.

[Sales Attitude]
BYD's sales service is good; both after-sales and sales staff have good service attitudes.

[Highlight Configurations]
What I like most is the sound insulation and privacy glass, which are really good. My configuration comes with Michelin tires, which have relatively low tire noise... much better than my friend's M7. He regrets buying it too early... Finally, I hope the intelligent driving can be more mature, the seat massage can be improved, and it would be best to massage the neck as well.

Review C

【Range and Energy Consumption】
Well, there's gasoline as a backup anyway, but 180 kilometers is really a bit short, and mine is the top configuration. I guess the 100-kilometer version is even more uncomfortable!
【Intelligent Cockpit】
The two zero-gravity seats in the middle row are really comfortable, with massage, heating and ventilation functions. Watching TV and getting a massage is very惬意,不错的!
【Driver Assistance】
I need to complain about this. As shown in Figure 3, these functions are all listed in the configuration, but in reality, I couldn't find any relevant settings in the vehicle's infotainment system! Functions like active braking, lane change assist, and lane keeping assist—I couldn't find them, nor have I used them. It's so frustrating. I bought the top configuration, but I can't find these practical functions! Could it be that because the Xia is a new model, the infotainment system hasn't been updated yet? I have my doubts and hope other car owners can help me figure this out!
【Charging Time】
I've used fast charging once, and it's quite fast! Anyway, the total range is only 180 kilometers, so using it as an electric car in the city is just about acceptable!
【Most Dissatisfied With】
Based on the driving experience these two days, first, let's talk about the good aspects. It really颠覆了 my impression of BYD. Although the car is large, it doesn't feel bulky to drive at all; it's very smooth. It usually starts with electricity, which is very responsive and smooth. The interior is particularly quiet; the sound insulation is done very well! Kudos for that! Also, the intelligence level is very high! It has all the features it should have, which is good! But there are some functions that need attention. For example, today when I went to the fast charging station to charge, after parking and plugging in the charger, when I walked towards the rear door, the tailgate opened automatically, and it almost hit the charging pile. Because the car has a sensor-activated electric tailgate, I directly turned off this function in the infotainment system! There are also other functions, such as lane change assist, lane keeping assist, active braking, etc., which are all shown in the configuration list, but during actual driving or in the infotainment settings, I didn't see any settings for these functions. They just aren't there, and I'm really confused! Could it be that because it's newly launched, the infotainment system hasn't been fully updated yet? I hope other Xia owners can tell me if your Xia has these functions? I couldn't find them! For other aspects, I'll come back to交流 with you after driving for a while longer. Overall, the feeling is really good and very comfortable!
